The Lot of the Holy Oblation
Scale 5000:1

This portion of the land, of 25,000 measures long on each side [square], is for the holy oblation; it is set in the midst of the whole land. This lot surrounds the city of the "new" Jerusalem, which is 5,000 measures square. Within the city is the temple, restored on Mt. Zion, of 500 square, all cubit measures.

Why is thought incredible that the LORD's "house" on Mt. Zion should be only 500 cubits square within its bulwark (wall)? The future site of the sanctuary of the Lord, including all its buildings within, will approximate its historic size.
How many other houses will there be in the new Jerusalem?
Will not the people who go up to the house of the LORD have the same stature
and appearance as men now have?
The physical structure of the "house" is for the convenience of the mortal population; God does not require extraordinary dimensions for people to live in, nor for His spirit to inhabit. However, the glory of this latter "house" of the LORD will by far exceed the glory of every former "house."
