The Sanctuary of the LORD's House
Ezekiel 40 - 42
- The area a, b, d, and 3, are located upon the lower pavement, inside
the wall (the "city's" bulwark), g.
- All the area within b and the lower pavement is at least eight steps
higher than the lower pavement.
- The areas f, h, k, l, and m, are a number of steps yet higher
than area i. These particular steps lead up (over the "low wall")
to the porch of the temple.
- "The way," j, of the outer court connects the main
porches of its gatehouses to the two areas, h, on the west side of the
court.
- "The way," o, of the inner court connects the porches
of its gates with the chambers of the priests in areas h.
- The altar of burnt offerings is the visible focal point of the "house"
to the congregation assembled upon the pavement in the court below.
- Thirty chambers, and four corner courts, are also upon the lower pavement,
on its perimeter.
