Chambers by the Building
41:14-17
- The building site to the west has chambers (Hebrew: lishkah)
located on each side of it, to the north and to the south, beyond the pathway
for the priests.
- These chambers are not elaborated upon in the vision, other than stated,
i.e. for the use of the house keepers, and for the use of the altar keepers.
The chambers are likely quarters for these priests during their course
of service.
- These chambers may be the domicile of the priests after the order of
Melchizedec. In the Father's house, there are many dwelling places,
per John 14:2, 23. ...If this were not the truth, Jesus would not have
told his disciples so. When the Lord returns, he will have the assigned
places for those whom he has chosen to dwell in his "mansion."
See Luke 14:7-14.
- These chambers are built three stories high.
- They also have galleries, ledges or balconies on all of the three stories.
What these galleries are used for is open to question; perhaps they are
choir lofts or seating for musicians during the temple service.
- The chambers are paneled with wood inside and out. They are similar
in appearance to the chambers beside the temple's square on this same level
of the sanctuary.
