The North Gates
40:19-27
Proof:
Length of outer gate ---- 50 cubits
Length of court -------- 100 cubits
Length of inner gate ---- 50 cubits
Total distance --------- 200 cubits
This same proof applies to the east gates and to the south gates, as well
as to this pair of north gates.
The direction of the measuring line (which the man carries in addition to the measuring rod of six long cubits) points to a yet undefined area at the center of this "structure like a city," shown as Area X.
The area of X is comprised, by deduction from the known distances, of a rectangle which measures 100 by 300 in length. This rectangle is subdivided into three parts, each being 100 cubits square. The area of X contains 1.) the altar with its court, 2.) the temple and its own court, and 3.) the building to the west with its court.
This information -- as proof -- is revealed later on in the prophetic vision.
