Please note that given that the general disposition of these aircraft
occurred several years prior to the 1985 copyright date, very little has
likely been changed. Any additional information that I come into
possession of will be added and accredited to its' source.
I have more or less paraphrased this information - while Jay Miller's
entry is slightly more complete I have cut some things for brevity
(although you could hardly call this entry brief!).

AFB, Texas on 3/15/60. Eventually scrapped there after use as a ground
maintenance trainer.

First flight 2/16/57; made first B58 inflight refueling on 6/11/58; made
first B58 human ejection on 2/28/62; converted to TB-58A and served with

First flight 9/28/57; first test aircraft delivered to the USAF on 2/15/58;
on 2/15/59 modified to test AN/ASG-18 radar system and associated
GAR-9/AIM-47 missile for the F108 Rapier and later the YF12A programs;
currently static derelict on the Edwards AFB photo test range.

a special centerline pod - on 11/8/58 flew 32 minutes at sustained Mach

display at Chanute AFB, IL wearing serial number 61-2059.

subsequent abandonment of aircraft in supersonic flight regime; Convair

First flight 5/13/58;
used for various special projects - Hughes AN/APQ-69 SLAR, Goodyear AN/APS-
73; orignally scheduled to be first airframe fitted with GE J79-GE-9
engines for B58B; converted to TB58A and became last Hustler assigned to
43rd BW; arrived at MASDC 1/16/70 but was saved from scrapping and
transported by C5A to Southwest Aerospace Museum, Forth Worth TX where
currently displayed.

55-668 is on display at the Lone Star Flight Museum, Galvaston, Tx.

[I cannot help but be struck by the fact that this aircraft had an
operational career as a *bomber* of just over 5 years. For an essentially
peacetime weapons system, this seems appallingly short, to me. -DPM]
